VISION
How many times have you been told that you dream too big? How many times have you been told that you suck? That you're delusional? How often have people laughed at your ideas or called you stupid? ...
Without knowing you, I can tell, probably often enough, that at least one of the things above has been stuck in your subconscious ever since, and is now part of your belief system, running your habits and routines... but before I go any further, let me tell you a story.
There was once a very talkative little kiddo with dreams who loved to create. At a certain point in primary school they were told to stop drawing in books, to stop daydreaming and to focus on the really important things, oh and to talk less because it is very loud and disturbs the lesson. Well, not hard to guess, that ever since the little kiddo operated from the belief of them being too much, not the way a kid should be and that drawing is a bad thing too. At least they hoped to be accepted when playing with other kids, but they were only laughed at for their taste in clothes and the way they expressed themselves.
As the seeds planted when they were seven began to grow in their teenage years, being misunderstood became part of daily business. What's more, they were hardly doing anything other than learning out of school books, which they were told was 'the really important thing' in life.
The final straw that broke the camel's back was when their comforting family stability collapsed like a house of cards, leaving them running with open arms towards burnout at grammar school.
Now guess what. That kiddo am I.
At that very particular point in my life, I realised that we as a society couldn't live like this any longer. Like, it litterally serves nobody to judge one another, to put each other in limiting boxes or tell us what expectations to live up to. So I decided to take coaching lessons where I learned about positive psychology, neuro-linguistic programming and generally how different things like colours and words affect our brains.
Including my own process of rewiring my belief system and establishing healthy routines and positive thought patterns, I realised that if we really want to live the life we've always dreamed of, we must have these five qualities: high self-esteem, self-love, gratitude, self-acceptance and a positive mindset. In short, we need to be our most authentic selves.
And because we all deserve to live this life of ours in abundance, peace and freedom, I made it my mission to create something that strengthtens these qualities. Starting with a clothing brand - BE YOU empowering streetwear - came to life.
The idea behind the signature prints on our sustainable pieces of clothing is based on the following fact: The more often we see or hear things, the sooner we start to believe them. Once we believe them, they become the basis of our habits and routines, creating our reality. This works for the negative as well as the positive. Along with the knowledge of different colours having certain effects on our brains, I've created empowering quotes written upside down and mirrorinverted on the front of each shirt and hoodie of a particular colour enhancing the effect of the words.
Now, whenever you look down at yourself or in the mirror, you'll read the quote, and be influenced by the colour. Both will subconsciously change your belief(system) over time. And the best part of it? Every positive habit creates new positive habits, just like a domino effect.
Last but not least, because our pieces are designed to be worn almost daily, we have chosen high quality garments made from 100% certified organic cotton, which are also peta-approved vegan and fair wear labeled. So we do double good with the transformation into our authentic selves :)
Are you ready to make your wildest dreams become your beloved reality?
With much love, because you're worth it!
